This document explains how to use the DenebaCAD electronic documentation. The electronic documentation is an electronic version of the DenebaCAD User's & Reference Guide (described below). It explains how to set up a new project, describes the user interface, and provides tutorials that take you from drawing basics to modeling and rendering in 3D. It also contains a reference section that describes every command and tool in the program, in addition to an extensive glossary and an explanation of DenebaCAD's Parametric Text format.
Using the electronic documentation
The electronic documentation is supplied as an Adobe Acrobat document named "DenebaCAD manual.pdf." You can view this document on your computer by using Adobe Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Exchange software. Your CD-ROM contains an Adobe Acrobat Reader installer in the "Acrobat Reader 3.0 Installer" folder in the "Support Programs" folder. You can also download Acrobat Reader from the Internet, where it's widely available for free. For information on using the Acrobat Reader 3.0 installer, refer to the Read Me file in the "Acrobat Reader 3.0 Installer" folder.
After you open the "DenebaCAD manual.pdf" file, you can display bookmarks on the left side of the document window. By clicking a bookmark, you can link to any topic in the document. A triangle appears next to bookmarks with sub-topics. To view a bookmark's sub-topics, click the triangle.
The electronic documentation is provided for your convenience. You can place electronic annotations throughout the documentation. Also, you can print the documentation and cut and copy information to the Clipboard.
About the DenebaCAD User's & Reference Guide
Registered users of DenebaCAD receive a printed copy of the DenebaCAD User's & Reference Guide. In four sections, this manual covers every aspect of DenebaCAD.
• User's Guide - Describes DenebaCAD's user interface, explains concepts, and provides tutorials.
• Reference Guide - Provides in-depth information on DenebaCAD's commands, tools, and interface shortcuts.
• Appendix - Describes DenebaCAD's Parametric Text Format. Parametric Text Format, or PTF, lets you save the contents of DenebaCAD documents in files that are compatible with external programs, including spreadsheets, word processors, and programming text editors.
• Glossary - Defines terms.
